COMMUNITY HUB UPDATE DECEMBER 24
As we come to the end of the year, we can update on the latest progress with the build.
The site will now be closed over Christmas and new year with our contractors, Steele & Bray, returning on 2 January 2025. The building is fully secure and the perimeter is monitored by CCTV. Should there be any event/incident on site during the holiday period the security company will contact both the police and Steele & Bray. If you see any activity during this period, please notify the police as an emergency.
The building is now watertight and the majority of the walls have been plastered. The roofing to the main part of the building is done with work to be completed on the canopy roofs. First fix mechanical and electrical works are well underway and first fix carpentry works are complete.
Externally, work has begun on the retaining walls and groundworks have begun on the car park. The weather has been challenging and has at times made the external works extremely difficult.
